Experience
Bernard F. Boglioli, counsel in the firm's general litigation department, has extensive trial experience primarily in defensive tort liability in insurance related matters including personal injury and professional malpractice cases. He also handles probate, corporate, environmental and commercial litigation and general practice matters including real estate and estate. He has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in various litigations. Mr. Boglioli has worked on numerous appellate cases and appeared and argued before the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He has lectured on the use and abuse of expert witnesses for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education on more than one occasion.
Mr. Boglioli is an Honorably Discharged World War II Veteran. Following graduation from Blair Academy he attended St. Peter's College in Jersey City, NJ and then New York Law School from which he graduated in 1962. During that time he worked as an insurance underwriter, claims investigator and adjuster. This included on road investigation, preparing cases for trial, and attending trials with assigned counsel. He later spent 6 years behind a desk supervising New Jersey litigation for the carrier. He is presently member of both the New Jersey and the American Bar Associations.
Mr. Boglioli has been a trustee of St. Michael's Church in Long Branch, New Jersey for over twenty-five years. In 1988 he was honored as an Equestrian Knight of the Holy Sepulcher, a papal knighthood.
He was also honored in 2008 along with James Moran as one of four attorneys selected by the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey Association as Trial Attorney of the Year.
