Berthold, Tiano & O'Dell

Robert V. Berthold, Jr. began practicing law in 1976, and became a partner in the firm of Hoyer, Sergent and Berthold in 1980. Mr. Berthold opened his own firm in 1988 with an emphasis on civil trial practice in all state and federal courts in West Virginia, and in some surrounding states, with specific emphasis in aviation litigation, medical malpractice, products liability and general personal injury litigation. Additionally, the firm provides work in the area of municipal finance, general corporate law and commercial litigation. Mr. Berthold is Chairman of LAWPAC, past Chairman of the West Virginia State Bar Committee on Law and Medicine, is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Tiano is also a member of the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. O'Dell became a partner with the firm in 1998, and is on the Board of Directors of The West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. O'Dell is also currently appointed to the West Virginia State Governor's Judicial Selection Committee.
