Led by Paul Supramaniam (BLP's Asia Head and Managing Partner of the Singapore office), the team has been successful in attracting a strong blue-chip client base, most of whom had not used the firm before. These include Axia NetMedia Corporation, Ciments Francais S.A, Dubai Investment Group, Inter-Touch, Italcementi S.p.A, Sasol, Singapore Exchange Limited, Star Cruises, McGraw-Hill and Whittington.

A significant amount of the legal work in many of the high-growth South East Asian markets, as well as many of the large, cross-border transactions that are managed from Singapore, are based on English law or English law principles. As a result, the Singapore team has managed transactions worth some US$3b, principally complex and significant M&A / Private Equity transactions.

Additionally, Paul has established strong preferred firm relationships with leading firms in the region, including in Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Korea, Lao PDR, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
