Bethany (Bee) Mandell is Of Counsel in the Immigration Section and is based in the firm's Boston office. Her practice includes all employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters for clients ranging from multinational corporations to small businesses, executives, and individuals as well as family-based immigration matters.
Bee has practiced immigration law exclusively since 1996. Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Bee was an attorney at a Wellesley, Massachusetts law firm, where she focused on employment-based immigration matters. She previously practiced in the nonprofit sector with Greater Boston Legal Services and Casa Cornelia Law Center, where she focused on family-based immigration matters and clients facing complex removal/deportation issues.
Bee serves as adjunct professor at Boston College Law School, teaching Business Immigration Law, and is a frequent speaker and author on immigration issues for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Since 2005, she has been recognized as a "Rising Star" in the field of immigration law by Massachusetts Super Lawyers, published by Boston Magazine.
Bee is an active member of the New England AILA Chapter and has served as an appointed member of the Immigrant and Refugee Subcommittee of the governor's commission on sexual assault and domestic violence in Massachusetts, as well as the Massachusetts Bar Association Access to Justice Committee.
She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. She received her B.A. from DePauw University and her J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University School of Law.
