Biography

Bettina V. Buehler was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 6th, 1960. She received her high school education at Williston Northampton School in Western Massachusetts. Tina Buehler then enrolled in Denison University wherein she received various academic awards including, but not limited to, the Psi Chi National Honorary Society Award, Psi Sigma Alpha National Honorary Society Award and the Women's Recognition Award. Ms. Buehler graduated Dennison University in 1982 with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor degree in Psychology. Thereafter, she relocated to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and accepted a position with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in the litigation department. She later transferred to the litigation department at Scott Paper Company wherein she reviewed and approved advertisements. Ms. Buehler elected to relocate to the State of Vermont to pursue a JD career at Vermont Law School in 1987. During her tenure at Vermont Law School, she participated in the Moot Court Trial Advocacy Competitions. Attorney Buehler received a Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School in 1990. She was admitted to the Vermont Bar the same year, and to the U.S. District Court, District Court of Vermont and U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit in 1995.

After graduating law school, Ms. Buehler chose to pursue a career in criminal defense. Initially, she worked for the firm of Welsh, Graham & Manby in White River Junction. Eventually, a few of the associates departed from the law firm and opened their own firm entitled Griffin, Levine & Buehler. In 1994 Tina Buehler decided to relocate to the big city of Brattleboro, Vermont and to join the firm of McCarty Law Offices, P.C. As of January 1, 2006, Attorney Buehler became a Director and Vice President of McCarty & Buehler, P.C.

During her career as an attorney, Ms. Buehler has practiced and focused in the following areas of law: Criminal Defense; DUI/DWI; Family Law; Personal Injury Law; Contract Disputes; and other various areas of civil law.

Attorney Buehler maintains memberships and is active in a variety of professional organizations. Among them are: the American Bar Association; the Vermont Bar Association; The Association of Trial Lawyers of America; Vermont Trial Lawyers Association; Vermont American Inns of Court; and the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. She also belongs to the Windsor County and Windham County Family Bench Bar Committees, the Windham Criminal Bench Bar Committee and the Windham Civility Committee. Ms. Buehler served as a Vermont Trial Lawyers Association Executive Board Member in 2000 and on the Vermont Bar Association Young Lawyers Executive Council, as Secretary in 1995 and Treasurer in 1996. Pi Sigma Alpha; Psi Chi. Recipient, Women's Recognition Award. Participant, Debevoise Moot Court Competition; Wyoming Trial Advocacy School.
