Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. was founded in 1974 by a group of attorneys that included former senior officials of the Environmental Protection Agency. The Firm has over 100 lawyers that engage in a practice spanning the complete range of contemporary environmental issues (including Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, hazardous and solid waste, Superfund, toxic chemicals, pesticides regulation, food safety, risk assessment, endangered species, wetlands, biotechnology, and environmental auditing). The Firm handles complex environmental litigation, regulatory, transactional, and legislative matters at both the federal and state levels. Offices in Washington, D.C., Maryland, New York, California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts enable the Firm to offer full-service capabilities nationwide The Firm has an extensive international environmental law practice related to the negotiation and implementation of international environmental conventions and agreements (e.g., the Basel Convention, the Kyoto Protocol to the Framework Convention on Climate Change, Biosafety Protocol to the Convention on Biological Diversity and various chemical agreements), trade and environment issues arising under the NAFTA and WTO agreements, and environmental requirements applicable to foreign direct investments and product imports and exports. The Firm consults on a wide range of environmental and product related issues in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
