Bev is a senior shareholder of the Davis Brown Law Firm in the Business Division. She has a general practice in but not limited to the areas of business organizations, mergers & acquisitions and securities.

SUMMARY
Bev enjoys working with start-up enterprises as well as with publicly-held companies, in regional as well as international transactions. She has been involved in public and private offerings and has assisted companies with reporting and other obligations under Federal and State securities laws. She works with the Iowa Capital Investment Corporation (ICIC), an entity authorized by the state for the purpose of forming, through the use of incentive tax credits, a fund of funds designed to encourage the development of venture capital in the state. She has also worked with an Iowa-based entity that has successfully applied for and deployed Federal New Market Tax Credits. Her work with these entities and with start-up enterprises has fueled her enthusiasm for the economic development potential of Iowa.

· IOWA'S REVISED UNIFORM LLC ACT: PREPARING CHAPTER 490A LLC CLIENTS FOR THE TRANSITION, NOVEMBER 19, 2010. Bev Evans presented at a seminar sponsored by the Iowa State Bar Association designed to assist Iowa attorneys in transitioning to Iowa's newly adopted LLC statute. Bev was joined on the panel by Professor Matthew G. Doré, Professor Daniel S. Kleinberger, Professor David S. Walker and Des Moines attorney J. Marc Ward.

Bev is active in Lex Mundi, an international association of independent law firms. She represents the Firm at meetings around the world and enjoys developing worldwide relationships that enhance the Firm's ability to provide exceptional service to businesses interested in international trade or in engaging in international transactions. She served as President of Lincoln Inne 2009-2010 and President of the Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors 2009-present.
RECENT WORK
Bev, along with shareholder Frank Carroll, acted as corporate counsel to Rain and Hail in the 2010 transaction by which ACE Limited purchased, for $1.1 billion, an 80% ownership of Rain and Hail, an Iowa-based crop insurer. Ace is a Zurich-based property and casualty insurer. As Ace owned 20% of Rain and Hail prior to the transaction, it owned 100% of the company following the transaction.
