Bill Daniel represents major financial services companies in commercial and consumer finance matters. He has extensive experience representing creditors in virtually every phase of their legal operations, including regulatory, litigation, workouts, bankruptcy, compliance, and transactions. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in banking and finance law, litigation - banking and finance, and financial services regulation law since 1995 and recognized by Texas Law & Politics as a "Texas Super Lawyer" in banking for a number of years including 2010. He was also recognized by Best Lawyers as Lawyer of the Year for Financial Services Regulation Law in Austin, Texas (2011). Bill chairs our Financial Services Practice Group.

· Representation of financial service companies in litigation and arbitration, including litigation under the Texas Finance Code and Texas usury law, lender liability and Texas Deceptive Trade Practice litigation, disputes involving complex financing programs, Truth-in-Lending Act claims, litigation involving leasing issues, and other issues.

· Representation of financial services and other companies in Attorney General Civil Investigative Demands and investigations involving credit issues, marketing, and other matters.
· Extensive experience in advising major financial service providers in both commercial and consumer transactions.
· Played a leading role in drafting major portions of Texas law governing financing transactions.
· Representation of clients in regulatory matters affecting financing.
· Substantial experience representing clients in commercial bankruptcies, including dealer bankruptcies.
