Blake Kurisko is a Partner in the areas of employment law, civil litigation and family law at Miller Thomson's Guelph Office. Blake has successfully appeared before both trial and appellate courts including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal. In the area of employment law, Blake has successfully appeared before courts and tribunals, drafted employment contracts, conducted workplace investigations and drafted employment manuals. In the area of family law, Blake focuses on property and support issues and has completed training in collaborative family law.
Blake obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ottawa and a Master degree from Tyndale University. Blake was called to the bar in 1989.
Blake is the original inventor of a software program known as ACL2 which is now owned by Korbitec Inc. and used by many law firms throughout Ontario. Blake is a member of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce, Toastmasters International and a former board member of the Wellington Law Association. When not involved in professional activities, Blake enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
