Blanca Luevano Garcia focuses her practice on corporate, securities, and antitrust law, with an emphasis on the telecommunications industry. She advises on cross-border transactions, financing and security agreements, M&A, private equity investments, regulatory matters, applications for telecommunications permits and concession, and general corporate matters and has participated in merger clearance procedures and the implementation of compliance projects relating to anticorruption and antitrust.
Blanca also has advised European and American companies in mergers and acquisitions and in investment transactions in Luxembourg and Mexico.
Blanca's representative transactions prior to joining Jones Day in 2015 include the acquisition of a Mexican cargo airline by Central America's leading airline group, Satmex/Eutelsat's sale of a major subsidiary providing satellite broadband internet services, the corporate restructuring of an international IT group involving the issuance of ADS by a Luxembourg company, and the set-up of a consortium of American and Canadian companies to participate in the public bidding for the construction of a new airport in Cancun, Mexico. In addition, she advised an African media group in connection with their European financing and expansion strategy, and she was part of the team that drafted all finance and corporate documents for the acquisition of real estate properties in the U.K.
