    Biography

    Bonnie represents investor-owned utilities, independent power producers, marketers, and alternative power producers on a variety of electricity matters, including issues relating to the implementation of recent energy legislation and energy legislation currently being debated in the House and Senate. She provided counsel and advice to clients on the provisions and funding opportunities under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, including assisting clients with respect to grants and loan guarantees for energy and energy efficiency projects. She is currently Washington council to the Canadian Electricity Association, a trade association representing Canada's electric utility industry.

    Energy Policy and Legislation

    Provides advice to a private equity fund on alternative legislation to support renewable energy projects.

    Provides advice to an electric utility company on energy efficiency legislation.

    Provides advice to a Canadian trade association regarding proposed cybersecurity legislation.

    Assists clients in advocating energy-related positions to relevant congressional staff and the U.S. Department of Energy.

    Draft legislative measures and provide advocacy support in the current Congress to support energy efficiency and renewable energy.

    Counsel to US Partnership for Renewable Energy Finance

    Provided counsel and advice to clients with regard to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

    While at the Department of Energy, helped to craft the Clinton Administration's electricity restructuring policy and drafted the Clinton Administration's electricity restructuring legislation.

    Electric Reliability

    Provides advice to a Canadian trade association and US entities regarding electric reliability issues.

    Played a key role in the drafting of the reliability legislative language that was enacted in EPAct 2005.

    Represented the United States Government on the North American Electric Reliability Organization's Government Interface Issues Task Group.

    Transmission Construction/ EPC

    Counsel to an international transmission tower/ substation manufacturer and EPC contractor.
