Bonnie Steingart is a member of the bankruptcy and restructuring and litigation departments, and is Fried Frank's senior litigation partner in the bankruptcy and restructuring department. Ms. Steingart joined the Firm in 1980 and became a partner in 1986. She is resident in the New York office.
Ms. Steingart concentrates her practice in restructurings, regulatory issues, and transactional and litigation matters. She has served as lead counsel in numerous restructuring matters on behalf of debtors, creditor committees, equity committees, individual institutional creditors and third party purchasers including in AAIPharma, Inc., Adelphia Communications Corp., Conseco, Inc., Delphi Corporation, Loews Cineplex Entertainment Corporation, New World Pasta Company, and NTL Incorporated. She also served as outside legal counsel to the New York State Insurance Department in connection with the restructuring of the monoline insurers.
From 1997 to 1999, Ms. Steingart served with the New York State Department of Insurance as Deputy Superintendent and General Counsel.
