Following the accounting scandals of the past decade, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act created stiff penalties for retaliation and discrimination against corporate whistleblowers.  We represent boards of directors and senior executives in investigations of potential wrongdoing, including reviews of activities that may have prompted the whistleblower’s report as well as the responses of senior executives and managers.

We help clients develop appropriate responses to the results of internal, agency and law-enforcement investigations, with an eye toward resolving current issues and preventing potential errors in the future.  When allegations of wrongdoing advance to litigation, we mount an aggressive defense.  Our experienced litigators analyze issues involving credibility and reasonability of claims, applicability, jurisdiction and extraterritorial coverage, and individual and corporate liability.  We have represented clients successfully in court and before administrative law judges.
