Brenda's practice includes a wide range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, corporate reorganizations and providing general corporate advice to clients. She has represented various Canadian and foreign clients on matters ranging from day-to-day commercial agreements to multibillion-dollar acquisitions and dispositions. She also has experience in negotiating and drafting business agreements, including purchase and sale, partnership, shareholders', consulting, service, loyalty, and confidentiality agreements.
In the area of debt capital markets, Brenda has advised foreign issuers on debt offerings into Canada, as well as Canadian, U.S., U.K. and European investment banks on debt securities issues by Canadian entities into Europe and other foreign jurisdictions.
Brenda was initially an Associate in the Firm's Toronto office before taking a leave of absence for two years to practise at a law firm in London, England. She rejoined Blakes in August 2007.
