Brett Buick concentrates his practice in commercial litigation and complex tort litigation. He is experienced with motions practice, oral argument, the discovery process, trial practice, post-trial work, and the appellate process. Mr. Buick handles a wide variety of matters including:

· medical malpractice defense
· personal injury/wrongful death actions
· internal investigations
Mr. Buick is a former law clerk for the Honorable Gene E.K. Pratter, of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Buick has also served as an assistant district attorney in the Montgomery County, Pennsylvania District Attorney's Office.
From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Buick was a Commissioned Officer (Captain) with the United States Army serving as a scout platoon leader and tank platoon leader in the First Infantry Division.

· Successfully represented global medical device manufacturer in prosecuting violations of non-compete agreements.
· Served as second chair trial counsel for hospital and resident physician alleged to have caused severe cerebral palsy in an infant during delivery and helped secure a complete defense verdict.
· Served as second chair trial counsel for several physicians and hospital defendants alleged to have failed to timely diagnose and treat cauda equina syndrome and helped secure a complete defense verdict.
· Conducted internal investigation for non-profit institution regarding its conflict of interest policies.

Mr. Buick is also a member of the Bryn Athyn Church Board of Trustees, the Cairnwood Village Board of Directors, and the 2010 First Judicial District Pro Bono Roll of Honor.
