Brian O'Neill is the senior member of the firm's Energy Law Practice Group in the Washington, DC office. He primarily represents oil and gas companies, including LNG companies, as well as electric companies, in regulatory matters before the Department of Energy, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the federal courts. Mr. O'Neill also represents intrastate pipelines and other oil and gas entities, as well as electric utilities and industrial clients with respect to corporate, commercial and regulatory matters. He has provided advice to international clients in regard to energy privatization, regulatory matters, and energy acquisition and supply. He has litigated regulatory proceedings involving complex ratemaking issues, new multimillion-dollar construction projects, and transportation, transmission and supply contract matters. Mr. O'Neill has been practicing in the energy area for more than 25 years. He has published numerous articles and papers including the chapter on LNG law in the treatise Energy Law and Transactions. He has been consistently recognized by Chambers Global as one of the top energy lawyers, and he is listed in Best Lawyers in America. The Legal Times recently recognized him as one of the leading energy lawyers in Washington, DC.
