| Biography | Brian G. Arnold, a partner with the Irvine office, is a highly skilled litigator who focuses on patent litigation and complex commercial cases involving intellectual property matters. He has represented major corporate clients in federal trial and appellate courts. Mr. Arnold has successfully litigated patent infringement matters involving a wide variety of technologies, including the following: injectors for medical imaging systems, slot machines, portable digital audio devices, computer software, spinal instrument systems, computer storage devices, optical displays, computer-related imaging systems, and food products. Mr. Arnold has also represented clients in patent and trademark licensing negotiations and disputes in various industries including medical products, computer-related electronics, laser amplifiers and wine. Mr. Arnold joined Thomas Whitelaw after spending eight years at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he was a partner in the Los Angeles office and a member of the Intellectual Property Group. Throughout those eight years, Mr. Arnold worked closely with Robert G. Krupka, one of the country's leading patent litigators. Mr. Arnold has also worked at two other major firms, White & Case LLP and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he focused on securities litigation and other business litigation.
