Brian is a native of New York and has lived in Florida since 1997. After graduating from the Naval Academy, Brian served as a nuclear engineering officer for the United States Navy onboard fast attack submarines. He left active service in 1988 but continued to serve as a reserve officer with the United States Navy. Currently, he is a Captain in the United States Naval Reserve. After graduation from law school in 2000, Brian was associated with the law firm of Gunster, Yoakley and Stewart in West Palm Beach. After joining this law firm in 2002, he was made a partner in 2003 when the firm name was changed to Chapin, Ballerano & Cheslack. He concentrates his area of practice in tax law and wealth preservation, management and transfer. Brian is actively involved in cultural, educational, and youth programs in Delray Beach. He is currently on the Board of Directors & President of Old School Square Cultural Arts Center. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Delray Beach Public Library, the Bethesda Hospital Foundation, and the Delray Beach Athletic Club and is the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce Chairman-Elect. Brian is a member of the Real Property and Probate Law and Tax Law Sections of the Florida Bar and American Bar Association.
