Brian Kernaghan, an experienced attorney with nearly 40 years of law practice, represents a wide range of developers of residential, commercial and mixed-use properties, focusing the majority of his practice during the last 25 years on land acquisition, zoning and entitlement matters, preparation of land covenants, constituent association corporate documents, the design and documentation of private, semi-private, and equity membership clubs, and, where required by law, filing under the Federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act.
Brian brings to Nexsen Pruet a wealth of personal experience, having joined the firm following 8 years as President and General Counsel of Wild Dunes Associates, the former owner and developer of Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, S.C. and Dunes West in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., as well as development manager for Queens Harbour in Jacksonville, Fl., and Bent Tree in Raleigh, N.C.
Representative clients have included: Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, Tidewater in North Myrtle Beach, the Cliffs communities in Greenville, Pickens and Oconee Counties of South Carolina and Henderson and Buncombe Counties, North Carolina, as well as national homebuilder, Lennar Carolinas.

Brian is an avid reader and photographer; a former church Senior Warden and Treasurer; currently a member of his church’s finance committee, and plays guitar in its praise band and related events; but, most importantly, with his wife of over 40 years, relishing their time as grandparents to two terrific children.
