Biography

Brian Tsuji is a highly experienced immigration lawyer with almost 30 years of experience. Mr. Tsuji works out of the firm's Vancouver office.

He has extensive experience with work visas, provincial nominee program applications, immigration visas, investor visas and business immigration matters, including representing individuals as well as local, national and international corporations and organizations.

Mr. Tsuji speaks Japanese and English and has worked in Tokyo, Toronto, and Vancouver. He has represented clients from more than 50 countries including Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Pakistan, the USA, Mexico, England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, Iran, the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Nigeria.

Mr. Tsuji is a past National Executive Member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) Immigration Section and a past Chairman of the CBA British Columbia Immigration Section.

Mr Tsuji has written a number of papers on immigration law. He is the author and editor of the following publications:

· The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Chapter in the Canada Law Book Canadian Immigration Book

· The British Columbia PNP Chapter in the Carswell Canadian Immigration Book

He is also a director of Nikkei Home, an assisted living centre for Japanese Canadians in Burnaby, B.C.

Professional Experience

· Assisting non-Canadians to establish a new business in Canada and obtain work visas for initial staff and visas for family.

· Assisting existing Canadian businesses to maintain and expand their work force by obtaining extensions of current work visas or new work visas.

· Assisting Canadian businesses to retain non-Canadian staff by obtaining Canadian Permanent Resident visas and/or Canadian Citizenship.

· Assisting high net worth individuals with business experience to immigrate to Canada and obtain a work visa or Canadian Permanent Resident visa through business immigration or investor programs.

· Assisting family reunification through family sponsorship of spouse/common law, dependant children, parents and grandparents.

· BC PNP, other PNPs and Quebec applications.

· Large scale HRSDC Labour Market Opinion and BC PNP applications.

· Assisting children to attend school in Canada through obtaining a student visa.

· Assisting people to visit Canada by obtaining a visitor or business visitor visa.

· Appealing of a negative decision to Immigration Appeal Division or Federal Court of Appeal.

· Canadian Permanent Resident Card (PR Card) initial applications and renewal applications to allow for retention of Canadian Permanent Resident status and advising on strategies to retain PR Card.

· Assisting non-Canadians to overcome admissibility issues including criminal, health and security through Temporary Resident Permit applications, ARC applications or Rehabilitation applications.

· Humanitarian and Compassionate applications.

· Accompanying clients to the border or to the Canadian Consulate General in Seattle.

· Accompanying clients to interviews for PR Card, Citizenship and BC PNP.

· Assisting applicants with NAFTA USA work visa applications.

· Assisting applicants with Arranged Employment applications.

· Providing clients with timely advice on anticipated changes in policy and law and actual changes.

· Providing clients with timely advice and information on latest processing times for different types of applications and for different visa posts.

· Visitor and Religious Worker Visa applications.
