Professional Experience Bruce C. Haas has been a partner at the firm since 1989 and focuses his practice on complex patent litigation. He has extensive courtroom experience and has served as lead trial counsel in patent infringement litigations involving pharmaceuticals and mechanical devices. Mr. Haas's practice has involved many diverse technologies including high strength fibers, aerospace materials, automotive parts, plastic container manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and electrochemical devices. Mr. Haas has served as trial counsel in patent litigations on behalf of Bristol-Myers Squibb, ElringKlinger AG, Merck, Husky Injection Molding Machines, UCB Pharma, AstraZeneca, Cytec, Eltech Systems, Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Searle and Pharmacia. In addition to litigation, Mr. Haas has wide experience in patent arbitration, patent evaluations and opinion work in fields as diverse as mechanical pumping devices to advanced composite materials. Mr. Haas has served as Managing Partner in both the New York and Washington, D.C. offices. He presently serves on the firm's Management Committee.
