Bruce D. Meller is a partner at Peckar & Abramson, P.C. with more than 30 years of experience in construction law. He has represented contractors on virtually every type of construction project including high rise buildings, shopping malls, waste and water treatment plants, hospitals, garages, institutional buildings and laboratories as well as heavy and highway projects. He is responsible for many of the firm's most significant cases, as well as the negotiation of complex contractual relationships and the drafting of standard forms of Agreement, which are used on a national basis. Mr. Meller lectures to bar associations and construction industry groups on the intricacies of construction law and has authored articles relating to construction issues.
Mr. Meller has successfully tried numerous, lengthy jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations. Mr. Meller was lead counsel in an arbitration involving claims in excess of $130 million arising out of building and civil construction work for a train system in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico which lasted 84 hearing days. He was lead trial counsel and negotiated and finalized a $59 million dollar settlement on behalf of a Design-Build Contractor with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. Another matter on behalf of a construction manager involved claims in excess of $60 million which lasted more than 75 hearing days. Many of his jury trials have lasted over 1 month and up to 4 months in length, resulting in numerous multimillion dollar verdicts. Mr. Meller's cases have resulted in more than a dozen published decisions.

Mr. Meller has also been recognized by Chambers USA, The Legal 500, Who's Who of International Construction Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, (chosen Lawyer of the Year in Construction Law for 2012 for New Jersey), New York and New Jersey Super Lawyers in Construction Law, is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
Mr. Meller is admitted to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States Court of Federal Claims, the United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey as well as the state courts of New York and New Jersey. He has also been admitted to practice pro hac vice in many states throughout the United States and in Puerto Rico.
