Background
Bruce Karn is an associate in the Construction, Engineering, Surety and Fidelity Group at our Toronto office. Bruce was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2010 after receiving his Juris Doctor from Queen's University in 2009. At Queen's University, Bruce was awarded the Aird & Berlis Award for Overall Academic Achievement, the David Sabbath Prize in Criminal Law, and participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Bruce worked with BLG as a summer student and articled at BLG.
Prior to studying law, Bruce received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science, majoring in aerospace engineering, from the University of Toronto and practised as an engineer in the aerospace industry. Bruce is a Professional Engineer.
Areas of Practice
Bruce's practice focuses on construction and surety law. Bruce represents owners, surety bonding companies, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers with respect to all manner of construction projects, contracts, litigation, alternative dispute resolution and other disputes.
