Bruce Geiger is a corporate commercial Lawyer, and Partner in the Edmonton office of Miller Thomson. His experience includes a broad range of commercial and corporate matters, including divestitures, mergers and acquisitions, financings, real estate, bankruptcy/insolvency, general contract matters, and corporate reorganizations, as well as charitable and not-for-profit ventures.
Bruce's broad exposure to the sciences, liberal arts and commerce have proved useful in conjunction with his law degree, leading to a particular interest in serving as counsel in many aspects of business related law. To better serve in structuring commercial transactions (as well as in advising in business matters on a day to day basis), he has completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Taxation program. As a trademark agent, Bruce is also able to pursue his particular interest in intellectual property law and technology/licensing matters.
His membership in the Canadian Bar Association has led to participation in the Intellectual Property Law, Business Law and Taxation Law subsections of the Association. He also served on the organizing committees of the 1991 and 1993 Canadian Bar Association mid-winter meetings. Bruce has lectured with the Alberta Legal Education Society and to business groups.
