Biography

Bryanne regularly provides assistance to clients on a wide variety of matters in the areas of employee benefits and executive compensation, including designing and amending retirement and welfare benefit plans and negotiating and drafting compensation arrangements.

Bryanne's practice includes counseling benefit plan clients with respect to a variety of plan qualification issues necessary for continued compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA. Bryanne frequently assists clients in preparing governing plan documents, drafting participant communications, and reviewing qualified domestic relations orders. In addition, her practice includes advising benefit plan committees with respect to their fiduciary duties under ERISA.

In the executive compensation area, Bryanne has been involved in the representation of both employers and executives in the negotiation and drafting of employment agreements, retention agreements, change in control bonus agreements, and deferred compensation plans. She regularly counsels clients with respect to compliance with Sections 162(m), 280G, 409A, and 457 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Bryanne's practice also includes counseling clients on employee benefit issues in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence analyses and advising clients with respect to employee benefit plan integration.

Prior to joining Shipman & Goodwin LLP, Bryanne was an associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP in the Employment & Employee Benefits practice group in New York City.
