During the 2002-2004 108th Congress, our appropriations team was successful in securing continued and increased funding for the National Center of Genome Resources for research on the mapping of important plant genomes. We also recently secured additional funding for NCGR for research on food safety and bioterrorism. We have secured funding for a variety of Native American tribes, municipal and local governments and a major national defense contractor whose artillery firing system had been targeted for elimination by the DoD.
