Founded in 1940, by Dr. Carlos Aguirre R (OBE) the firm has rendered services for a period of over 60 years of uninterrupted activity during which some of its members have assumed responsibilities and functions outside the office. The more important responsibility has been the one undertaken by Dr. Carlos Aguirre R in 1975 as Justice of the Supreme Court of Bolivia. Dr. Fernando Aguirre B has acted as Ministry of the Presidency in 1979, and as external Director of the Central Bank of Bolivia between 1993 and 1996. Other activities and several publications have supported and enriched the moral conduct and presence of the society in the legal community. At present Bufete Aguirre has six attorneys, one legal assistant and six support staff. Dr. Fernando Aguirre B. is the country representative of the International Bar Association. The firm's attorneys count with wide experience in different areas of specialization, strongly working in corporate law and related matters. All have received postgraduate education.

During the last years the Firm has expanded its work in the litigation area, thus becoming a full service firm for it clients.
