Burr & Forman's litigators have assisted a variety of clients with class actions at the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts around the country. We have contested or managed class actions in fields such as insurance, consumer financial services, labor and employment and product liability. Our experience includes attacking the merits of the named plaintiff's claims, litigating class certification issues under the class action rules, advising in regard to publicity and public relations issues, handling appeals of class certification rulings, conducting merits and class discovery, negotiating class-wide settlements, overseeing the process for court approval and notice to the class, handling objector's claims and collateral challenges to certification.
