Practice/Industry Group Overview

For more than twenty years, the firm has been active in the defense of professional liability claims involving lawyers, accountants, architects and engineers, insurance agents and real estate agents. Butler Snow lawyers also handle claims involving doctors, nurses, physical therapists and other medical professionals throughout Mississippi. The firm encourages alternative dispute resolution for resolving both claims and lawsuits.

Three lawyers devote a significant part of their practice to professional liability matters and are frequently requested to present seminars on professional liability and ethical issues. Three of them (one as Chair) have served on the Ethics Committee of The Mississippi Bar. Butler Snow also regularly handles coverage matters relating to professional liability insurance.
