The firm hosts or takes part in libel workshops throughout Mississippi and serves as legal counsel to the Mississippi Press Association, staffing its media hot line and contributing on a regular basis to .The Fourth Estate, the Association's bi-monthly newsletter. Butler Snow's media law Group prepares the Mississippi section of the 50-State Survey of the Law of Defamation and Privacy and Mississippi section of the 50-State Survey of Employment Libel and Privacy Law, which are published by the Libel Defense Resource Center of New York City.
