Established in 1973, Butler, Vines and Babb first focused on trial work. Over the years, the firm has been engaged by clients in a number of areas of practice. In order to accommodate client needs, the firm has developed a diverse practice. Although the firm and the areas of practice have grown, the members of the firm are dedicated to a small firm concept of providing quality legal services on a personal basis.

The firm has acted as regional coordinating defense counsel and as trial counsel throughout the southeastern United States and portions of the Midwest. In this capacity, the firm has supervised thousands of cases in these various jurisdictions. Additionally, members of the firm have received honors from their profession. Members of the firm have conducted numerous seminars and written on various legal issues.
