Barr prosecutes and defends complex corporate and commercial litigation. Although he is most active in corporate governance matters in the Delaware Court of Chancery, Barr is also active in antitrust and intellectual property matters in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. His corporate governance practice has involved primarily disputes arising from proposed mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests and securities issuances. In recent years, Barr has tried cases involving fiduciary duties to creditors, interested director transactions and transactions with controlling stockholders. He also acts as counsel to special committees of boards of directors in their investigations of alleged corporate wrongdoing.
