On March 1st, 1999 Cain Lamarre Casgrain Wells was established through a merger between Cain Lamarre Wells founded in Chicoutimi in 1928, the oldest law firm in the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region, with offices in Alma, Chicoutimi, Dolbeau-Mistassini, Jonquiere, Ville de La Baie and Montréal; Casgrain Desrosiers Lévesque Bujold Villeneuve founded in 1877 and practicing on the South Shore of the St. Lawrence and the Gaspé region, with offices in Rimouski and Amqui; and finally Gauthier Nepveu Leblanc and Brouillette established since 1951 in Seven-Islands, serving the entire North Shore of the St. Lawrence. Cain Lamarre Casgrain Wells also recently opened an office in Quebec City.
