Calvin R. Harvey works primarily in the area of financial transactions including syndicated loan transactions, complex project and real estate finance and development, affordable housing and tax-exempt financing. Among Calvin's clients are major super regional and regional banking institutions, real estate development companies, universities, nonprofit organizations and many western Pennsylvania entrepreneurs and investors. As chairman of the firm's Financial Institutions, Bankruptcy, and Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group, Calvin also serves as managing partner of the Pittsburgh office and is a past member of the firm's Board of Directors. Calvin has been lead counsel in many multi-bank loan facilities, financing acquisitions, corporate recapitalizations and construction loan facilities. He has also acted as counsel for developers and lenders in major office building and regional retail projects throughout the United States. He serves as solicitor for the Chartiers Valley Industrial & Commercial Development Authority and is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He is listed in the banking and real estate sections of The Best Lawyers in America Published by Woodward/White, Inc. In 2006 and 2007, he was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer®. A frequent lecturer on topics before bar association groups, he has taught at the University of Pittsburgh Law School.
