Campbell Lea dates back to the turn of the last century and the practice of the firm's founding member, W.E. Bentley, K.C., who was admitted to the Prince Edward Island Bar in 1897. We take pride in our firm's longevity and are devoted to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism which have characterized this firm for more than one hundred years. Former members of the firm include the current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island, the Honourable Gerard E. Mitchell, the Honourable Wayne D. Cheverie, current Justice of the Supreme Court, the Honourable Ralph Thompson, current Judge of Provincial Court, the late Honourable John P. Nicholson, former Chief Justice of the Province of Prince Edward Island, and the late Honourable Arthur H. Peake, former Justice of the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island.
