Candace Duff is a commercial trial attorney whose practice includes representation of local and national corporations in complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance litigation, real estate litigation and products liability actions brought in state and federal courts as well as in administrative proceedings. Areas of Concentration · Complex commercial litigation · Construction litigation · Insurance litigation · Products liability litigation Significant Representations · Served as one of the lead trial attorneys for the plaintiff in a four week jury trial in federal court of an insurance coverage case against a national insurer resulting in a verdict in excess of a million dollars. · Served as lead counsel of a national retail corporation in commercial lease litigation in federal court and won the case on summary judgment. · Served as lead counsel for a national developer in the successful administrative appeal of a county's interpretation of local technical amendments to a building code. · Served as second chair trial counsel in an Age Discrimination in Employment (ADEA) lawsuit in federal court and obtained a defense verdict. · Served as a member of the trial team on behalf of the plaintiff in a RICO and fraud lawsuit in federal court that resulted in a jury verdict in excess of $50 million. · Obtained a multimillion settlement for a real estate developer in a builder's risk insurance coverage case. · Representation of real estate developers in construction lien and defect litigation. · Representation of real estate developers in insurance coverage disputes. · Defended developers in real estate litigation. · Representation of developers in suits against manufacturers and suppliers of defective building materials.
