Cara Shafran concentrates her practice in the area of labor and employment litigation, representing public and private employers before federal and state courts and administrative agencies in matters regarding:
· Employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and retaliation
· FLSA and state wage and hour compliance, including particular experience representing clients in class and collective action matters
· Labor-management relations
· Business issues, including breach of contract, enforcement of restrictive covenants, and fraud
Ms. Shafran also advises clients on litigation avoidance and compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws.
In addition, Ms. Shafran provides counseling and litigation services to political campaigns, corporations, and individuals regarding campaign fundraising and expenditures, formation and activities of political action committees, and registration and disclosure under federal and state lobbying and election laws.
Ms. Shafran formerly served as a law clerk to Senator Arlen Specter on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
