Since its inception in 1947, Cardillo & Prado Rossi Law Firm has been dedicated to the ongoing enhancement of its practice, both in consulting and litigation areas, in the protection and furtherance of their clients' interests, whether individuals or businesses, in such areas as Private and Public Law, specifically in issues related to Civil, Tax, Corporate and Administrative Law. The activities of the firm are concentrated in the city of São Paulo, capital of the State, and extend to other cities through its offices in São Carlos, a city located in the center of the State. Furthermore, the firm is qualified to provide legal services in Brasilia, as well as to others States of Brazil, through its several correspondents.
HISTORY
The law firm CARDILLO & PRADO ROSSI SOCIEDADE DE ADVOGADOS was founded by the renowned attorney João Baptista Prado Rossi, graduated in 1947 from the Law School of Universidade de São Paulo and practicing attorney for more than forty years in judicial and extrajudicial courts.
He has also been Treasurer, and later on President of the Brazilian Bar Association, Section of São Paulo for two biannual mandates (1968-70 and 1970-72), period in which he already counted on the cooperation of his future partner, attorney Roberto Mortari Cardillo.
During the 80's, the attorney Pompeu do Prado Rossi joined the team, and at the same time, the public career of the partner Roberto Mortari Cardillo began.
In 1978, the founder, João Baptista Prado Rossi, was nominated Judge of the Court of Appeals of the State of São Paulo by the Quinto Constitucional, i.e. as a representative of the Attorneys, office that he occupied until 1989, when he retired. He passed away in 1993, with his son, Pompeu do Prado Rossi, taking his seat in the partnership.
The partner Roberto Mortari Cardillo performed different functions at the Federal Government Attorneys' Office and retired in 1995 as Assistant General Attorney of the Republic, after that dedicating himself exclusively to advocacy.
In the following years, by virtue of the economic liberalization of Brazil and the increasingly specialization of knowledge at the different fields of law, the firm started seeking new partners and professionals in view of expanding the range of services to corporate clients.
Thus, new attorneys joined to the office's staff, which currently counts on six partners in different areas, besides several associates throughout Brazil and abroad the country, allowing the services of the mostly different and complex matters to be handled with the same seriousness and deepness existing for the last 60 years.
