Biography

Carl Salisbury has more than 20 years of experience in the litigation and trial of complex commercial disputes. In addition to handling general commercial matters, Mr. Salisbury has more than 20 years of courtroom and trial experience in complex commercial insurance cases and has represented the full gamut of companies in disputes involving large insurance claims, from small and middle-market corporations, condominium associations, restaurants, and non-profit institutions, to Fortune 100 companies. He has helped corporate policyholders recover for insurance claims involving environmental pollution, workplace discrimination, bodily injuries and property damage, mold contamination, construction defects, and a variety of other commercial disputes. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in Insurance Law for 2010, 2011 and 2012. Mr. Salisbury is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Experience

Insurance coverage for Coty Inc. and Coty USA LLC, Assisted Coty Inc. and Coty USA LLC in obtaining insurance coverage for a substantial portion of its defense costs and a contribution to the settlement amount in excess of Coty's self-insured retention in connection with a trade dress and patent infringement litigation matter.

Putative class action against express delivery services company, Represented express delivery services company in connection with a putative class action brought in New York Federal court under the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York wage and labor law. After initial exchange of information and negotiation we resolved the matter with the named plaintiff on favorable terms for the client, thereby limiting additional potential exposure.
