He was awarded Criminal Defense Lawyer of the Year by the Essex County Bar Association for 1998. He has been a trustee of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey since 1995. He has appeared on Court TV as a guest commentator and has taught as a guest lecturer at Seton Hall Law School.
