CARL PINES is an Associate Counsel with Owen Bird Law Corporation. He has been involved in commercial law for his entire career and has been lead counsel in numerous significant transactions ranging from acquisitions to lender workouts to securities placements.
Carl has a keen interest in business and attended the Executive Program in Business at Stanford University. He has been a director of several public companies and is currently a director of a number of private companies. He has taught Continuing Legal Education courses and was a contributing author on the subject of Corporate Finance in the B.C. Company Law Practice Manual.
Mr. Pines' practice has centered upon structuring transactions ranging from joint ventures to public offerings. While he is not a specialist in mining ventures, he has been involved as legal counsel in connection with a number of mining related transactions involving diamonds, tungsten, gold, as well as base metals.
