Carlson & Carlson, P.C. is comprised of Jon G. Carlson and Eric J. Carlson. Jon Carlson challenged the Tort Reform Act in Illinois which was overturned by the Supreme Court in its entirety in the case of Vern Best vs. Taylor Machine Works, Inc., et al, 179 Ill.2d 367, 689 N.E.2d 1057 (Ill. 1997). In 2004 Jon G. Carlson was the recipient of the Leonard M. Ring Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. Both Jon Carlson & Eric Carlson were finalists for the Trial Lawyer of the Year Award from the Trial Lawyers For Public Justice in 1998 for their work in the best case.
