Ms. Maue's extensive experience includes the representation of employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, New York State anti-discrimination laws and the Family Medical Leave Act. She also regularly provides legal counsel to employers on human resource issues including termination, severance arrangements, discrimination and harassment complaint investigation, supervisory training, policy development, employee handbooks and wage and hour compliance.

Professional Experience

Ms. Maue has more than 30 years of experience representing business and municipal clients in a variety of matters, and currently serves as chair of the firm's Business Law Group. Prior to joining Boylan Code, she managed her own firm for a decade until merging her practice with the firm of Chamberlain D'Amanda in 1995, where she served as Chair of their Business Clients Group.

She was a featured speaker at the Monroe County Bar Association Center for Education's Intellectual Property Licensing seminar and its "Technology Transfer and Commercialization" seminar. Carol was presented at the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors' Finance II seminar and was the primary presenter at the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce monthly roundtable series for small business owners. She is also a frequent speaker on topics of interest to agricultural businesses through the auspices of the Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Carol is a recipient of the New York State Bar Association President's Pro Bono Service Attorney Award and the Volunteer Legal Services Project William E. McKnight Pro Bono Service Award. She has been nominated twice for the Greater Rochester Metro Chamber of Commerce Athena Award, and was the recipient of a Woman of Distinction Award from the Canandaigua Chapter of the Business and Professional Women's Club of New York State and the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce.
