Carolyn Vinson provides sophisticated and comprehensive estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning for individuals, couples, families, and family businesses. A member of Sutherland's Tax Group, Carolyn works closely with clients for the most efficient multigenerational transfer of wealth using advanced estate planning and transfer tax techniques.
Before joining the firm, Carolyn served as an associate with a law firm in Bethesda, Maryland, and as an associate and contract attorney with a large Washington, D.C. law firm, where she focused on estate planning and related areas of federal and state tax law, including estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax. Prior to entering private practice, Carolyn clerked for The Honorable Oliver Gasch, Senior U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Columbia.
