Chad Pilcher is an Associate in the Birmingham office and a member of the firm's Energy and Government Relations Sections.
Representative Experience
· Mr. Pilcher has experience representing utility clients in various matters related to nuclear regulatory compliance and licensing. He was integrally involved in the proceedings that resulted in the granting of an Early Site Permit and Limited Work Authorization for two new nuclear units and has also provided counsel in the associated combined license proceeding. He has advised clients on legislative and rulemaking issues related to the nuclear industry.
· Mr. Pilcher's government relations practice focuses on state and federal laws in the areas of ethics compliance, campaign finance regulations, reviewing and analyzing legislation, and the establishment and operation of political action committees.
Background
· Mr. Pilcher received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics, summa cum laude, from the University of Mississippi, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, awarded the Taylor Medal, and served as the senior class president. He earned his J.D. from Tulane University Law School, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board, selected to the Order of the Barristers, and participated in the Legislative & Administrative Advocacy Clinic. He also worked in the district office of then United States Congressman (now Governor) Bobby Jindal.

Community Relations

He volunteers as a Big Brother through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham. He is also the color analyst for the broadcasts of Hoover High School football.
