Chantal Tremblay is a partner in our Litigation Group in Montréal.
Ms. Tremblay's practice focuses on commercial litigation and on civil, statutory and administrative litigation in the environmental sector, including the mining and the oil and gas industries. She also has extensive experience in insurance law and professional and medical liability as well as disciplinary law.
Ms. Tremblay serves a variety of clients in civil, commercial, environmental and class action litigations, as well as in commercial arbitration.
Ms. Tremblay is involved in a variety of professional and firm activities, being the president of the Commercial Litigation Committee of the Canadian Bar Association - Québec branch and a member of the National Diversity Committee at McCarthy Tétrault. She is involved in the recruiting process and has been an articling principal for several years. She received the McCarthy Tétrault Mentoring Award in 2008. She also appears under "Litigation Lawyers to Watch" in the 2009 Lexpert U.S. Guide to the Leading US/Canada Cross-border Litigation Lawyers in Canada. She appears as well as "Local Litigation Star" in the last edition of Benchmark Canada, a Canadian guide of leading firms and lawyers in the areas of litigation.
Ms. Tremblay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the HEC Montréal and an LLB from the Université de Sherbrooke. She was called to the Québec bar in 1995.
