Charles "Max" A. McCauley III is an associate with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. He is a member of the firm's Litigation, Business and Finance, and Creditors' Rights, Bankruptcy and Financial Reorganization Departments. Mr. McCauley also advises the firm's clients on electronic discovery issues in complex litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McCauley was an associate in a prestigious Wilmington law firm. In this capacity he focused on litigation and advisory matters relating to Delaware corporations and alternative entities, including counseling corporations and other entities and their directors and members on corporate governance and fiduciary duties.
Earlier in his career, and prior to entering law school, Mr. McCauley managed his family's trucking and warehousing business located in western Pennsylvania.
Recently, Mr. McCauley co-authored an article on Developments in Delaware Corporate Law, published in the ABA Annual Review of Developments in Business and Corporate Litigation.
Mr. McCauley is an active member in the firm's pro bono program as a board of director of The Walden School, a non-profit Montessori School serving children from preschool through grade eight. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Delaware State Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and New Jersey State Bar Association.
He is admitted to practice in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
