Charles Huber is an active litigator whose practice involves complex commercial litigation. His practice includes the defense of corporate clients in the areas of commercial and real estate transactions; insurance coverage and bad faith; and major personal injury matters. He represents petroleum industry clients against environmental and toxic tort claims. Charles regularly defends class actions, including employment and insurance related matters. He has a wide range of trial experience that includes class action, intellectual property, insurance and significant tort matters.

Representative Cases

· Successfully defended West Coast Life Insurance against securities fraud class action obtaining summary judgment

· Obtained defense verdict for multiple oil distributors defendants following trial against 18,000 member class alleging claims arising out of allegedly defective fuel oil

· Defended Lincoln National/Swiss Re in $400,000,000 trial involving reinsurance and allegations of bad faith and breach of contract

· In Kottler v. State, 136 Wn.2d 437, 963 P.2d 834 (1998) successfully obtained and upheld summary judgment against claimants in bus rollover accident

· Other reported cases include: Sollitt Corp. v. Chapman Plumbing, 67 Wn.App. 468, 836 P.2d 851 (1992); and Cunningham v. State, 61 Wn.App. 562, 811 P.2d 225 (1991)
