Charles DeWitt is the former Managing Partner of the Firm. He joined the Firm in 1993 after serving as Chief Legal Counsel for the Massachusetts Port Authority and as Assistant Secretary of the Executive Office of Transportation and Construction for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He has extensive experience in transportation projects and contracting, and has represented public authorities and governmental agencies in numerous large projects. He has also represented public authorities and governmental agencies in procurement and contracts relating to design, construction, design/build, rail car procurement, operation and maintenance of transportation projects, automatic vehicle identification, property acquisition and privatization. An authority on various aspects of transportation law Mr. DeWitt is the author of numerous articles on the subject, has taught law at Boston University and delivers seminars and lectures to professional and governmental organizations. Prior to becoming Managing Partner, Mr. DeWitt served on the firm's Executive Committee and Compensation Committee.
