| Biography | Charles Maak was a founding member of the firm and is currently of counsel. Since 1969, he has represented clients in a broad range of matters involving real estate, including shopping centers, regional malls, office buildings, warehouse properties, subdivisions, condominium projects, and air rights developments. Mr. Maak is a former Visiting Professor of Law, Corporations and Securities, and Adjunct Professor of Law, Real Estate Development and Finance, at the University of Utah College of Law. Mr. Maak captured a place of honor as Senior Statesman on the Chambers and Partners USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers directory. He is one of only 40 attorneys in the country and the only attorney on the list from Utah. He was listed in the in the 2003-2011 editions of Chambers USA - America's Leading Business Lawyers in real estate. The 2011 edition noted "he is the "ideal sounding board" for both lawyers and clients on tricky real estate development questions. Mr. Maak was also listed in the 2006-2012 editions of Utah Business magazine's Utah's Legal Elite, Best Lawyers in America 2006-2012 editions and the 2007-2011 editions of Mountain States Super Lawyers.
